Sweet and friendly staff who genuinely wants you to have the best stay possible. Everything is decorated with care, incredibly clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Although next to the train station we did not hear a single train! Highly recommend this hotel!

Set in a turn-of-the-century villa, Hotel Alexandra is just a 10-minute walk from Locarno’s town centre. It offers Mediterranean cuisine. Alexandra Hotel offers a rich buffet breakfast daily. The staff were very kind and also very helpful before our stay. The whole team was very hospitable and did their best to help us to feel at home. They also gave us practical and very useful information for travelling around Ticino. The place was very clean and comfortable and the location is very good.

@ Home Hotel Locarno offers a central location in Locarno, 5 minutes' walk from Lake Maggiore, the Piazza Grande, and the Muralto Locarno train station. Everything!the hosts: Cinzia and Nadia were exceptionally friendly and helpful. the communication was easy and quick. we were travelling with our son and when we came to the hotel , we were very pleasantly surprised that our room was upgraded for a bigger one free of charge. we were also given a code for an online Ticino ticket that allows you to use public transport free of charge and get discounts at most sights. the location: is great -a 5-7-minute walk to the lake and to the main square.it also takes about 5-7 minutes to walk to the funicular Orselina, to cable cars and chair lifts Cardada-Cimetta. breakfast : breakfast was tasty , homemade by hosts, with good coffee and different options. rooms: simple but exceptionally clean , with all the basics you need and with a coffee machine in the room. all in all the hotel is a very cosy place with a home-like atmosphere created by the hosts. Definitely a place we would come back to when we travel to Ticino again.

Completely renovated in 2012 and 2013, Hotel Rio Muralto occupies a 19th-century villa in a central location opposite the Locarno Train Station and a 10-minute walk from Piazza Grande, and offers you... The staff were incredibly helpful and lovely.

Located in Muralto, Miralago Locarno Easy Rooms is just 50 metres from the promenade on Lake Maggiore, 500 metres from Locarno's centre and 200 metres from the harbour. It offers free Wi-Fi. Right next to the station and a few minutes walk from the lake. Friendly staff who speak several languages.

Set on the lakeshore promenade of Lake Maggiore, Hotel Geranio Au Lac is only 100 metres from the Locarno Train Station and the city centre. It offers a breakfast buffet. I love this hotel. I've stayed twice, once as a solo traveler and once with my sister, visiting me from the USA. The hotel is in an amazing location, with the waterfront on one side and a shortcut to the train station on the other. Restaurants, coffee shops and gelato are just next door. The rooms are minimalist. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is great, and I love that cappuccino, hot chocolate and vending machines are available at all times on the second floor. The staff was fantastic, each time.
