The owner was very communicative before getting there. It's right in the beach although there isn't much sand in between. Friendly and helpful staff. They had free kayak and SUP for guests staying the night. Day pass persons would need to pay to use it.

Negril is the more laid back part of Jamaica.
Negril is the more laid back part of Jamaica. It is quiet, especially up in West End and the cliffs. So there you are not right on a beach but up on cliffs you can jump from or coves you can take a
ladder down to swim. There are small markets and many mom-and-pop restaurants you can walk to. And lots of locals homes with their gardens and grazing animals.
The beach area of Negril is flat and sandy. Depending on where you stay, you can be at a small place on the beach and walk to stores, town restaurants and small beach restaurants. Or, you can stay at an all inclusive and never leave the property.
We like Negril better than Ocho Rios ( but seeing Dunns Falls and Bob Marley’s home in Ocho Is a must) We like Negril because of its less touristy feel.
If you’re here without children, you should split your time between beach and cliffs.

I absolutely loved our vacation in Negril!
I absolutely loved our vacation in Negril! I loved the cliffs and beach, the food, locals, scenery but I would’ve preferred to stay at another hotel. The restaurants were amazing and the sea was breathtaking. Can’t wait to return.
Especially to rock house!

Negril never disappoints, there are so many great cooks, everywhere. You can literally eat anywhere. We rent a car but taxis are a great way to get around to the beautiful beach. Talk to the locals get out of your hotel and explore.

Way past the large all-inclusive resorts, Negril is full of smaller and well maintained properties, guest houses, restaurants. Not so much an international cosmopolitan playground as an honest Jamaican setting.

The hotel is very very secluded and far from EVERYTHING.
The hotel is very very secluded and far from EVERYTHING. I almost thought we were lost trying to find the hotel.
The housekeeper is rude and impolite. The head housekeeper Alison made up for it though. Alison was sweet and kind, and went above and beyond to make up for her co-worker.
The bar/ restaurant servers were excellent. I loved all of the ladies.
Villas Sur Mer is a lovely hotel in a wonderful spot in Negril. My one complaint is that we expected we'd be staying in a specific bungalow (the one with the curved roof) and instead we were put in the top floor of a duplex. It was fine, but we'd been really excited about the lovely stand alone bungalow and that's why we booked the place. On the plus side, there as a GORGEOUS waterfront view that you get to through an underground tunnel on the grounds of Villas Sur Mer. Truly magical. We spent a lot of time in that spot.
This was my first noninclusive resort I have stayed at in Negril. Will never stay at another all inclusive again. I saved tons of money by paying for my own drinks and food. They had a wonderful bar and restaurant with great food!!!! Loved all of the staff. Stacy was exceptional in delivering food and kindness. Colin was a great bartender. All of the staff keeping things clean and safe were beyond my expectations. Will definetly be going back to this resort!!!!
Great views, infinity pools, access to the reef for snorkeling, amazing sunset, friendly helpful staff, and bar/restaurant near the water. Was a short 10-12 minute drive to Rick's cafe (amazing hangout place), Rockhouse hotel (good restaurant, probably the best snorkeling in the area), and Westend restaurants like Ciao. For those without the car, property has shuttle with 3 trips a day to the Negril beach area.
The room was amazing! I was above the lobby really big and spacious. Very clean, Ac was perfect I even had my own balcony. I love that there was a restaurant at the back of the hotel on the beach, attach to the hotel restaurant that open 24 hours. I was there every day even at 3am eating good Jamaican breakfast lol. love the souvenir shop inside the hotel as well. beach is super clean and staff were all friendly.
The location was great , at breakfast with it was as if we had no options being all inclusive , the staff was rude and unpleasant faces while serving me or other “black”Individuals, while everyone else got served with a smile . I have never been to negril before and I must say this experience ruined my birthday as it was the worst I’ve experienced .
The room, the view of the beach from the restaurant, most of the staff were friendly especially the chef. He went above and beyond to make us the most delicious sandwiches when we arrived even though the kitchen was not open.
The all inclusive food was served to us and we enjoyed this very much. A good variation of many dishes each day.
Really nice garden and outside area... its right around the corner of some partyplaces as well as some cheaper local Bars and Restaurants next to the road.
Easy to reach by taxi from negril town Center..
A nice place with a nice chillout area and a shared kitchen, not too thouroughly cleaned but working well:)
Very nice stay🖤
Lovely hotel - exceptionally friendly staff. We were kindly upgraded upon arrival and the hotel provided everything we needed with a relaxed vibe. Very easy to catch a route taxi to the beach and within walking distance of a couple of nice restaurants (both local stand alone restaurants and other hotels with good restaurants).
This hotel is right on the beach, it needs a bit of renovation but it has all you need for your holiday. There are plenty of places nearby where you can eat on the beach. The owner is a very nice lady that makes you feel very comfortable and welcome. They only accept cash as payment, no credit cards accepted
That is place is at one of the best places at famous Negril Beach. Hotel itself is not a hotel but a group of bungalows. They are very old and bad. There is only two "suites" on the very front line that are new and I stayed at one of these. These suites are good. Other bungalows are very bad.
All inclusive, so the room service was good, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Lots of good local and theme selections. Scenery was beautiful and we got lucky with excellent weather. Our end of the resort was au natural, and was very comfortable throughout our stay.
This hotel is quite cozy. I stayed on the Oceanside. I loved being right on the beach. You can walk along 7 mile beach which is beautiful, to the shopping area and other eateries. The staff were nice and friendly. It’s in a great location. The rooms are clean and spacious.
Staff was friendly, helpful, not pushy and aggressive like some other places we been. It was clean, food was good, we enjoyed most things we tried, drinks weak as always in all inclusive, views were amazing.
All in all we enjoyed our stay
the rooms are very nice and close to the beach but we came during renovation and it wasn’t noted anywhere, the hotel was fair enough to give us 50% back.
