This was a transit hotel for an early morning flight from Gatwick Airport. The Hoppa bus was great to get to the airport and at a reasonable cost.

The property it’s fantastic with traditional old charm that’s been sensitively preserved. Warm and cosy rooms to meet with friends and an excellent group dining room at serve the 10 of us very well. The ground is too spectacular, quiet and relaxing, and even though it’s close to Gatwick Airport, there seems to be no noise pollution.

The Wetherspoon pub was in the centre of town a 20 min walk from my accommodation which was at the middle distance between the town and the airport. People appeared friendly but as a transient resident I got ripped off by the locals. The tapas restaurant was open for customers but the cider was so sweet I could not drink it and I was told it was Spanish which I frankly doubt as I was not shown any label and the drink was pored for me without my getting to see it. I'll avoid the tapas bar the next time I need to visit the city prior to going on holiday or when I need to stay overnight on my return from holiday.

There was a great pub called 6 bells. The staff were lovely and Wayne the proprietor really looked after me as did all the staff. The food I had was excellent. The pub itself is unofficially the 2nd oldest pub in England. It was easy to walk to from The Corner House.

Very comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff, good choice of restaurants in the evening with lovely food. Breakfast could improve as while everything is well laid out with plenty of choice the food is not being kept hot enough and is quite cold by the time you take it back to your table which is a shame as it’s good quality food. It was the same for both visits.

Travelers should be warned there there are steep steps to get to the room (unless you book the downstairs room). This was a huge surprise and problem for us as we had a lot of heavy baggage and it could not be left downstairs.

Horley is a fairly safe town to spend the night before/after a flight. It has nice food shops & cafes. Near to Gatwick but not noisy. Quiet, pleasant. A bus ride to Crawley, an easy train to London. Not overpriced.
Best place is the 8 Bells (or is it 6 Bells?!) down a residential road just off the main road & by the parish church - lovely! - its a delightful oldy-worldy country gastro pub on the doorstep, which is well-known for great food & atmosphere.
People usually find Horley pleasant... you can safely walk around & there is a Lidl & Waitrose within walking distance (in the centre)... The local Wetherspoons does a good cheap breakfast. (Later, the fish & chips/burger are ok, so ok for cheap filling food. Be warned, though, the manager could do with some improvement!)
Horley is great for overnight stays, before moving on!

Manchester was my Favorite place, i eat mostly breakfast at the hotel,
it was ok getting around Horly as my stay there was not long, my next visit is avoid going to the all season guess house in Gatwick,
We left Paris by Eurostar for London. After a three hour journey by taxi from London on congested roads, a journey that is usually an hour and a half, Emma scooped up our luggage and assisted us to the front desk then the room.
Supper had choices of places and variety. A quiet night was had. Excellent sleep.
We found a nutritious breakfast of choices.
We went directly to the North Terminal of Gatwick airport on the passage from the hotel. We were able to continue our journey home to Newfoundland with the Airport Assistance Professionals.
The room and bathroom were great.
It is 4 minutes far away from the Gatwick airport by car/cab.
There is a train station next to the hotel, if you are coming from London just leave train at airport station and put it on google to get a train returning one station back to Horley station. This Horley station is in a walking distance (5-10min).
If you arrived at the Gatwick, it is the same thing, just get a train to Horley station and avoid the abusive price of cabs there (~15 pounds for 4 minutes ride).
We were looking for two rooms near Gatwick because we needed to be at the airport somewhat early the next day. Horley is a good base near Gatwick and fit the bill. Arriving in Horley, we found this to be on a street with lots of B&Bs, and this one appeared to be the best maintained and cleanest of the whole group on the street. Both rooms were charming, neat and clean, and the manager was very nice and helpful.
Can’t beat the location right it Gatwick Terminal 2. Clean bed, very quiet. So if you just want to sleep this fits the bill. A cool concept for a miniature hotel.
It is, however, tiny!! You wouldn’t want to spend much time here (also not good if you are not athletic enough to climb into the bunk pod, or if you get claustrophobic - it’s veeery small)
Its a small, cosy, affordable hotel quite close to Gatwick. They can fix transfer for you to Gatwick, but there is also trains to the airport from the train station on Horley which is close to the hotel. My room was a single room and was really small. There was barely any clothes hooks. Everything was clean and in good condition.
Incredibly convenient for Gatwick airport/Crawley/Horley. Literally a 5 minute drive from the south terminal to the farmhouse. Room was well appointed and comfortable. Very simple check in and out process. Has a rural feel to it despite being so close to everything. Would definitely book again if the need arises.
Very comfortable hotel, close to Gatwick airport. Amazing value for money. I did not eat there, but breakfast looked very reasonable. Close to Horley town centre which has a couple of excellent restaurants, Turkish and Italian.
It was very close to Gatwick airport. The bus stop was just 2 minutes away. Just 1 stop to the airport.
They had a nice restaurant in the hotel. The food was very good. The waiter very friendly.
Location is very good. It is at the Gatwick Airport area, no need to book a taxi or a bus, just walk from your plane to the Hotel level. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Pastries were fresh.
Location, location, location. Hotel is in North Terminal of Gatwick Airport, very easy to reach with luggage cart. Hampton Inn has restaurant which is unusual for most Hampton Inns.
It was just perfect for my wife, our 12 year old son and myself. We fly to Copenhagen the next morning with no stress about getting to Gatwick on time. I highly recommend this hotel.
The location was good. Easy access to Gatwick airport and an early flight. That was the reason I chose this hotel. It was also cheap compared to other hotels in the area.
