It was clean, well-staffed and the bed was extremely comfortable. Exactly what I needed after a long day on the Camino. Perfecto.

Friendly and helpful lady at check in. We were travelling with my 82 year old father in law and they happily gave him a bottom bunk bed when requested.
The kitchen was a little small, but had everything you need and plenty of seating areas. Laundry facilities and a nice outdoor area. Everything was clean and tidy.

Spotlessly clean, large room (family one). Two large singles and a double, very comfy beds, just what you need on Camino. Shower was not great ( too high tech) and didn't work properly, but got you sort of clean. Towels, toiletries etc, which was welcome. Hosts were just lovely.
Right on the Camino, beautiful location and close to town, restaurants and old town - go upwards to old bit, really lovely, or down the steps to the river. Drinks, coffee, breakfast good and reasonably priced. Had dinner at Mr Robérts? On the river, was fab, but need to book, as everyone not booked was turned away.
Would definitely stay again
On Camino Way of Saint James.
Beautiful historical sites, lovely stone work, churches that ring their bells for the hour & mass,
beautiful community atmosphere, so wonderful to join millions of pilgrims who have walked for centuries from every place country nationality, speaking different languages. Buen Camino Thank you St James🤗
Good option for folks wanting to walk pilgrimage but restricted by personal time allowances.
Camino Shell and Arrow signs clearly marked.

We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.

Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright.
Room on the ground floor was very spacious, bright. Lovely hot water, clean towels and toiletries provided. If doing the Camino walk id definitely recommend this place.
Great location and friendly staff.
Great location, right in middle of old town square, very close to Camino route but a bit further from the town main bus station if you are travelling to Sarria by bus from Lugo.
Room was clean and quiet, with all basic necessities.
Internal of hotel was also clean, and tidy.
Opposite of hotel is the police station - cannot get any better for safety, not that safety is an issue.
Highly recommended for start of Camino.
The historical section/area of Sarria is really great. This hotel is down the hill from it and does the job of providing a private room and bath. Staff was waiting for us and very helpful but then gone with no way that we saw to reach anyone. Nothing at all wrong with the pension, but we would next time look for something up the hill in the historical area which is much more charming. Still, the pension did the job.
Situated very close to the Sarria station and Sarria town center, only 1.5 km from the Sarria starting point of the Camino de Santiago trail.
This apartment has everything one needs for a short or a longer stay. Two nice bedrooms, a living room, a well equipped, modern kitchen with a dining bar, and a fine bathroom with a clothes washer.
The owner was very nice and he gave me the best tip I used for the whole "Camino", I mean the backpack taxi , a fantastic service that for just euro 4,00, takes your backpack to the following village of your way.
The hotel is right on the way so the morning after we just follow the people .
Laura was incredibly helpful. As our first stop was Sarria - Laura organised our Camino passports and our luggage transfers for the rest of the trip. Used google translate to help us understand her information which was very helpful.
Room was clean, tidy and warm in the cold weather.
Everything. Eloy and the lady were amazing. You can tell the property is cared for and Eloy went out of his way to offer information, cultural knowledge, and recommendations.
Sarria, the town, is also lovely in every aspect we encountered.
A standard hotel. We arrived late into Sarria and needed accommodations with a 24-hour desk. Hotel Alfonso IX is a good location, a full service hotel, and price included breakfast. No much atmosphere.
This was such a great place. We were having a Camino rest day. Lovely room, lovely people running the hotel. If we could have stayed here every night from Sarria to Santiago we would have.
Very clean property with a wonderful lady at the reception. We would definitely book this place again if we come back to Sarria. It’s a great starting point for the Camino.
Albergue is in a central location right on the Camino in the older part of Sarria. It was very quiet as there weren’t too many beds and the host was lovely.
