Firstly, the staff deserve a great deal of praise; they are charming, professional and efficient. They helped us to sort a small problem with a minimum of fuss and no expense, so win-win. The location is good; we tend to walk everywhere and it's an excellent base for exploring Malaga. It is a shortish walk from the train and bus stations and the airport bus stops nearby, just outside el Corte Ingles. The rooms were compact (we stayed before and after a trip to Cadiz) but everything we wanted was there; we could hire a hairdryer or iron for 10 Euros deposit. All perfectly clean and the bed was very comfy. It was an affordable option for us for a couple of nights and worked out just fine.

The whole experience was excellent. Particularly impressed with the buffet as the food was hot and delicious every time.
The location is perfect as it is within 10 minutes walk of many shops, bars, restaurants and attractions including the Puerto. With many of these on your doorstep.

I found it hard to open Key Box outside the hostel to access key for entry. I also found the code lock hard to see. Only for a very nice Russian lady, staying in the hostel coming to my aid, I wonder would I have got in at all.
For those reasons, I will not book The Welcome Hostel on my return journey.
